The day "mi casa es su casa..."

There is something wonderful and almost sacred about a gathering of loved ones... and not for a funeral. Something timeless about the involuntary smiles of inner joy of having known someone all your life... a door full of them, pouring into your house. Giving thanks for simply being alive... seeing each other once more... Enjoying a new generation of little ones, sharing homemade pumpkin pie for the first time.

And there's always the one, who by some strange circumstance has been invited along, and is thrust into the feast of memories and favorite dishes. And you wonder what they are thinking about it all. This year it was a guy from New York named Peter, who got to share a Texas Thanksgiving with Mayflower descendants in Navasota Texas. Come back to see us Peter!

I am seriously taking the “Mi casa es su casa” thing.

Joy gave me the address

So wonderful to be able to be with you on your thanksgiving.

Joy said she had a wonderful time and told me all about it.
