Texans who think we have lackuster autumn color, just don't get out much. Here are samples from around the state, the first taken at Lost Maples State park, the middle one is from my neighbor next door, St Paul's Episcopal Church here in Navasota. The bottom shot is from McKittrick Canyon in Guadelupe Peak National Park, near New Mexico. All of these shots prove Texas is one of the great inspirational resources of artists. This is just one of the many pleasures of living here, and since color is my language, I dare not take it for granted. Don't these make you wish you were an artist? For more Texas autumn photos, you can go to a later blog, posted on November 1, 2011.
